The United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a membership organisation, with over 75 training and listing organisations, and over 6,600 individual practitioners. UKCP holds the national register of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors, listing those practitioner members who meet exacting standards and training requirements.

The Severn and Thames Psychotherapy Network (STPN) currently offers counselling in the following cities, towns and villages: Amberley, Bath, Bristol, Cheltenham, Chippenham, Cirencester, Colerne, Cranham, Dursley, Gloucester, Kemble, Malmesbury, Marshfield, Nailsworth, Saul, Stroud, Swindon, Upton St. Leonards.

The Association for Group and Individual Psychotherapy (AGIP) offers UKCP recognised training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy together with a psychotherapy clinic which also offers low-fee therapy for appropriate patients.

The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) provides a service which will enable potential clients to find a suitable counsellor with whom they feel comfortable, in their particular area.

The WPF Therapy Network is a group of counselling centres which hold a common aim to offer high quality, professional and affordable counselling to their communities. Many of these centres also provide psychotherapy and counselling training.

Gloucestershire Counselling Service specialises in providing counselling and training counsellors to professional standards. GCS was established in 1980 to offer affordable, open-ended, in-depth counselling to those on a limited income. All clients are assessed at the Centre and allocation considered carefully. There are now 60 part-time counsellors and over 220 people use the counselling service each week. All counselling is regularly supervised on a weekly basis.

Benjamin Legg Acupuncture. Benjamin studied at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading, Berkshire. The college provides a degree course in acupuncture and is affiliated to Kingston University in London. Benjamin is also a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC). The BAcC is the UK's largest body of professional acupuncturists in the UK. They work to ensure that the highest standards of training, hygiene, safety and professional conduct are maintained within our industry.
